POSCO AMERICA recently held a farewell party for a staff member who is relocating to the Korean headquarters for one year, the first such dispatch assignment in the company`s 27-year history.

Senior Associate Hong Se-hoon was named the first employee to work at POSCO headquarters in Korea.

Colleagues at the office congratulated him and celebrated the announcement by holding a farewell party. The assignment opened an opportunity for employees at POSCO AMERICA to expand their vision at the company. It motivated the employees to look beyond their horizons and promote trust toward the company`s plans to invest in employees` capabilities.

Hong is assigned to work at the export team in Korea. The experience will enable him to better understand work at the headquarters as well as effectively communicate the position of POSCO AMERICA in Korea. He is expected to assume a bridging role by transferring the knowledge and experience learned at POSCO headquarters to his colleagues in POSCO AMERICA.

POSCO AMERICA is planning to expand other work assignment opportunities at POSCO headquarters, with the aim of reducing cultural gaps between overseas subsidiaries and promoting synergy across the group.
